We should find tonight

0:04

a very helpful message

0:11

The eternal good faith

0:14

is the assurance of things

0:18

hoped for,

0:20

the conviction

0:23

of things not seen.

0:28

By faith we understand that the world was created by the Word of God,

0:35

so that things which are seen were made out of things which do not appear

0:46

If you see it clearly, you will see that faith does not give reality to unseen things.

0:55

It is loyalty

0:58

to the unseen reality that gives meaning to the word faith

1:08

All things exist,

1:11

eternity exists and all things in eternity in dependence of creation.

1:19

So on this level, the shadow level, we do not see the reality,

1:27

we do not see the source, the cause of it all.

1:32

That's where we are called upon, to exercise faith,

1:39

loyalty to unseen reality.

1:44

It really is

1:47

the abandonment of self.

1:51

It's an act of self-commission

1:55

and man cannot commit himself to what he does not love.

2:01

And scriptural faith

2:03

is faith in God.

2:07

So any idea that we have of God,

2:12

which does not spontaneously call forth,

2:16

out of our hearts the feeling of love,

2:21

is not a true idea of God

2:28

So the whole basic matter is that God is love.

2:37

I speak from experience,

2:40

I stood in the presence of infinite love,

2:45

and it's man.

2:48

So I do not have the problem,

2:52

but others would have concerning this presence that is love

2:59

I can heal to him instantly, for I know he exists, I know he exists in me.

3:08

I also know he exists in you,

3:11

but you may not be aware of it.

3:14

I can only ask you to believe it, and heal completely to this presence within you, for by him all things are made,

3:27

and without him was not anything made, that is made.

3:33

So tonight we will show you what I have done in the past.

3:36

with great success

3:38

and how it operates.

3:43

Now, if I wanted something in this world and who doesn't,

3:50

I would formulate

3:53

an act which would imply that I have it.

3:58

And then in my imagination, I would simply, having performed that act, I would yield completely to this being within me to execute it.

4:12

I would fall off into sleep, convince that he heard me, that he saw my act in faith.

4:23

For we are told in the same 11 chapter that I quoted when I first started, the 11 chapter of the official to the Hebrews

4:33

That

4:36

we must come to God, believe in the God exists.

4:42

For unless we believe that he exists, we cannot peace him.

4:48

So who would draw near to God must believe that he is

4:54

without faith?

4:55

It is impossible to peace him.

4:59

And so if I took the 13th chapter

5:05

of Corinthians, Paul's wonderful hymn in praise of love and paraphrased it,

5:12

though I speak

5:15

in tongues of men and angels,

5:19

and though I had the power of prophecy that I understood all mysteries and all knowledge,

5:29

and though I gave all that I have and gave it away, though I gave my body to be burned

5:37

and had not faith,

5:39

I cannot people

5:42

I cannot please him without free, because I am not on the surface level of my being, I am not going to do it.

5:50

I simply yield completely to him, having acted, it's an act of self-commission.

5:58

I perform the act, what act?

6:01

I act as though I had what I sought

6:06

I act as though I heard that you have what you asked of me.

6:13

I perform an act, and then I yield completely to get to my own being, who is thought, and allow him, from death death, to externalize his form

6:28

For he tells us in the 55th chapter of Isaiah, Your ways are

6:35

not my ways.

6:38

As the heavens are higher than the earth,

6:41

so are my ways.

6:43

higher than your ways.

6:45

So do not ask how it's going to be done.

6:49

All I have to do is to complete the year to this being within me, for he has ways and means I, on this level of my being, know not of.

7:00

I rise then under compulsion.

7:04

And under this compulsion I go through a series of events which will lead up to the fulfillment of that to which I hear I assume that it's done

7:15

and then I commune with myself and gave thanks within me that it is done.

7:21

And it works in every way, even in the most marvelous things like this for instance.

7:29

My friend is here tonight.

7:32

He didn't think he could make it tonight.

7:34

But I got his letter this week

7:38

He said, Leste, please.

7:42

Having heard you over the years and having received a hunger from your interpretation of scripture, for we are told in scripture in the book of Amos, I will send a famine upon the world.

7:56

They will not be a hunger for bread or thirst for water, but for the hearing of the word of God

8:07

When that hunger comes upon you, not a thing in this world can satisfy you, but an experience of God.

8:15

Now we said, I am a stockbroker,

8:18

and things have been very, very slow since the bottom of 1970.

8:25

The market has risen, but people with money will not come into it because, in doubt, they will burn prior to this Yet the market is really healthy today, it's growing and growing and growing.

8:37

Yet, I must confess, things have been slow.

8:42

I have a wife, I have a daughter who is a minor, I have obligations to life,

8:50

and yet in spite of the fact I should really think of these things first,

8:55

the hunger for an experience of God supersedes all other hunger.

9:02

And so I went home from your meeting,

9:07

and I prayed to myself, I communed with myself, for you taught me to believe that the self, the depth of my own being is God, that sensible awareness that is God.

9:18

As a God, you sent this hunger upon me, a hunger for an experience of you.

9:26

Give me, I said in the 86th song, show me a sign of your favor, just a sign of your favor

9:36

Well, I had agreed which I did not recall until Friday morning, on the way to my office, as is my custom, I turned on your tape.

9:47

I carry a tape with me, and to the office I turn it on and I listen to that first.

9:55

Something there clicked within me, and the memory returned, and I remembered the dream of the previous night.

10:05

And the dream was this

10:07

I found myself in an ancient world.

10:11

I knew from the feeling, from the atmosphere, from everything about it.

10:14

It was an ancient world, and suddenly a youth popped up over a wooden fence and leaned against a post.

10:17

And instantly I

10:29

knew

10:31

that he was David.

10:33

Here is David

10:36

By you, he was my son.

10:40

Yet he didn't speak, I didn't speak,

10:44

but it didn't come until I was driving on the freeway, driving to my office.

10:51

I have no memory of the previous experiences that you say one must have prior to the coming of David

11:01

So, I'm a little bit confused, was that an admiration,

11:07

was that a foreshadowing of the event that must take place.

11:13

I will say to him now, as he is in this office, yes,

11:19

is the most wonderful foreshadowing.

11:22

For when it happens, you will be so stirred, you will awake from the state It won't happen that way, it will happen out of your own style, your style will explode.

11:35

That's how it happens.

Barry’s Comment

image

It is extremely rare that you can find original recordings of any of the New Thought Teachers from the 40′s-50′s and beyond for the simple reason that the technology was not there or else people simply did not think about recording the lectures.

Because of the length of time that Neville lectured technology began to emerge and people began to record many of his lectures. We have accumulated 129 lectures in his own voice that we have added.

With the 338 Original lectures that we recorded and the below that include 100 that are not included above, we have a total of 438 recorded lectures of Neville Goddard which is the largest compendium of Neville’s recorded lectures on the Internet.

Some of the lectures are of a higher quality then others, here again because of the technology of the time.

About Me

image

Hello, I am Catherine, but my friends call me Kat. Together with Milli (Kamil) we started recovering Barry's work as an emergency response to his YouTube channel being taken down. I didn't expect to do any of this, but just happens to be that I had all the videos and we took action.

Backup channel was started around Kamil's birthday and I was notified of it's take down the same day that he died. Talk about a double pain... I promised him (my sweet angel now) to rebuild channel and make it even better, so here we are. If you think that I am doing a great job, feel free to leave me a tip =) Click here.
