0:12 | The Reverend Dr. Trussler, who would criticize him for his works and said to Blake, You need someone to elucidate your works. |
0:19 | So Blake wrote him and said, You ought to know that what can be made explicit to the idiot is not worth my care. |
0:25 | And the wisest of the ancients considered what was not to explicit the fittest for the instruction because it rouses the faculties to act. |
0:33 | Then he went on to say to this reverend, Why is the Bible more instructive and entertaining than any book in the world? |
0:39 | Is it not because it is addressed to the imagination, which is spiritual sensation, and only but meditatively to the understanding or reason? |
0:47 | Well, of course the reverend did not understand that. |
0:49 | Like all the teachers of the world, the religious teachers, they treated his secular history. |
0:54 | And Blake knew from his own experience it was not. |
0:56 | It was God's plan of salvation. |
0:59 | The man must experience scripture for himself before he can begin to understand how altogether wonderful it is. |
1:04 | It is altogether true, but not on this level. |
1:07 | Eternity is actually within your immortal head, and that's where the entire drama unfolds. |
1:13 | Now let us turn to this book that Blake called The Greatest Book in the World, and I will endorse that. |
1:18 | I haven't read all the books, but I do know of anything that could come near the Bible in Revelation. |
1:23 | It has nothing to do with science It's not the teaching of anything about the stars, about anything in politics, it is all about God's plan of salvation. |
1:32 | Here we turn now to the very first book of the New Testament Matthew. |
1:36 | This is the book of a genealogy of Jesus Christ, son of David, son of Abraham. |
1:41 | Here it establishes the three important characters of Scripture. |
1:45 | Now we go back to Genesis and start with the first one now, Abraham, and the Lord tempted Abraham. |
1:51 | One translated it tested, which may be a better way, and the Lord tested Abraham |
1:57 | Take your son, your only son Isaac, and offer him as a burnt offering. |
2:02 | And Abraham took his son the very next day with the fire and the wood and the knife, and the two men and went up to Mount Moriah. |
2:08 | If you are familiar with the story, we need not tell you the entire thing, but that is a story. |
2:13 | The Lord intervened, Abraham having met the test. |
2:16 | He said to him, Do not lay your hand upon the land, for you obeyed the voice of the Lord. |
2:22 | And then he made him the father of the multitudes For the name, Abraham means, father of the multitudes. |
2:27 | And said to him, They will be more numerous in the stars, more numerous in the sands of the beach. |
2:33 | Well, just estimate that number, beyond the wildest dream of man. |
2:37 | That will be his offspring, yet he only had one son. |
2:41 | Now we know that's a lie right away. |
2:44 | If you take it historically, because 12 years before the birth of Isaac, the Lord gave him a son whose name was Ishmael, born of a slave in the household of his wife, Sarah, for she was barren and it was beyond well-bearing. |
2:56 | It had ceased to be with her after the affairs of woman, after the nature of woman. |
3:01 | So finding herself barren and wanting a son and an heir, she sent her servant Hagar into her husband Abraham, that he may know her, which is a story as told he did. |
3:10 | And she bore him a son and the Lord said, call him Ishmael, which means God's ears, or God has heard. |
3:18 | That's 12 years prior to the birth of Isaac, yet we are told Isaac, and these are the words of the Lord Take your son, your only son, and offer him as a burnt offering. |
3:29 | How can the one who gave him a son, called Ishmael, now call this one his only son? |
3:34 | The word translated son and only son appears only 12 times in the Bible. |
3:39 | For the word one is yakad. |
3:42 | This is translated and defined as one, the only one, the unique one, my darling, my chosen one, any term of endearment. |
3:50 | These are the definitions given to the word that is now translated, your son, your only son. |
3:55 | Now here we turn now to the 22nd Psalm, which you find quoted all through the New Testament. |
4:00 | It's the Psalm of David, it begins. |
4:03 | My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? |
4:06 | This is the cry on the cross, yet the words of the words of David. |
4:11 | We find the first verse, the eighth verse, the 18th verse, all through the New Testament, and all of these are the words of David. |
4:18 | We find the same correspondence between the suffering of Christ and the suffering of David. |
4:23 | The identical words are used, and they are all now in the words of David. |
4:27 | Now in the 22nd Psalm, David sings out to his father, the cry of despair, and he said, defend me or deliver me from the sword. |
4:35 | Deliver my soul from the sword and my life from the power of the dog. |
4:39 | Why my life? |
4:40 | That's the same word, translated your son, your only son. |
4:44 | So why do they now translated my life? |
4:47 | The Hebrew word is yakad, and it means your son, your only son. |
4:52 | David is saying, deliver your son, your only son, from the power of the dog. |
4:57 | In the second Psalm, David has already declared, the Lord said unto me, thou art my son. |
5:01 | Today I have begotten thee. |
5:04 | Now he calls upon the Lord, who seemingly has abandoned him. |
5:07 | When he said, my God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? |
5:12 | Now deliver, not my life. |
5:13 | Deliver your son, your only son, from the power of the dog. |
5:17 | Now we come into the New Testament, and we find that all the things said of David are in our set of Jesus Christ. |
5:23 | What is a secret? |
5:24 | Imagine is with me. |
5:25 | Can you imagine a command that is absolute? |
5:28 | A thing to be done absolutely and continuously. |
5:31 | Something stated in the imperative passive mood like this. |
5:34 | Thy will must be being done. |
5:37 | Thy kingdom must be being restored. |
5:41 | It's the imperative passive mood. |
It is extremely rare that you can find original recordings of any of the New Thought Teachers from the 40′s-50′s and beyond for the simple reason that the technology was not there or else people simply did not think about recording the lectures.
Because of the length of time that Neville lectured technology began to emerge and people began to record many of his lectures. We have accumulated 129 lectures in his own voice that we have added.
With the 338 Original lectures that we recorded and the below that include 100 that are not included above, we have a total of 438 recorded lectures of Neville Goddard which is the largest compendium of Neville’s recorded lectures on the Internet.
Some of the lectures are of a higher quality then others, here again because of the technology of the time.

Hello, I am Catherine, but my friends call me Kat. Together with Milli (Kamil) we started recovering Barry's work as an emergency response to his YouTube channel being taken down. I didn't expect to do any of this, but just happens to be that I had all the videos and we took action.
Backup channel was started around Kamil's birthday and I was notified of it's take down the same day that he died. Talk about a double pain... I promised him (my sweet angel now) to rebuild channel and make it even better, so here we are. If you think that I am doing a great job, feel free to leave me a tip =) Click here.
